ABOUT US
A design & build studio at its core, studioTAC was started by a designer and an artist, combining a portfolio of architecture, art curation, interior design and creative project management.
We work within the event industry with award winning agencies and global brands.
We work in the creative industry with world renowned artists and contemporary galleries.
Our creativity and passion for what we do creates outcomes that exceed expectations and cement relationships.
We believe strongly in creative conversation and clear communication.
WHAT WE DO
To put it simply, we create, design and build to exceptionally high standards.
What we do falls into two categories:
-We operate as your out-of-house creatives: we work with your brief to produce innovative ideas, be that art installations, site specific builds, brand activations or immersive experiences.
-We fabricate and deliver your idea.
Within both of these options we project manage and fabricate under one roof. We design well because we are the ones fabricating; the two halves bring cohesion and cost efficiency.

ATC
Andrew studied Interior Architecture at Brighton University which, rather than sparking an Architectural career, sparked an M.A in Fine Art at Falmouth. The combined concepts of concern with space and aesthetics bred a life long and deep seated obsession with creating temporal and temporary spaces, for people.
ANARCHITECTURE was born with ATC at the helm bringing specific teams together for collaborative projects. Running themes include; the use of timber to frame and create a secular but spiritual space, angular and geometric repetitious forms teased from reclaimed materials and a play with atmospheric light.
A recent project, Sanctum, commissioned by Situations, saw ATC collaborate with acclaimed artist Theaster Gates to build a temporary structure from local reclaimed materials in a derelict Bristol church. The 24 day, 24 hours-a-day project was housed in an a-symmetric structure designed by ATC and built by his 10 strong team in 10 days.
Having cut her curation teeth by setting up Secret Arts with the directors of Secret Productions in 2009, Tess curated and managed an annual art grant of near £100,000. Secret Arts aimed to fund site specific art installations both for their flagship event Secret Garden Party and beyond. The fruits of that 4 year labour can be seen HERE.
A spell as Director of Special Projects for Wilderness Festival saw Tess delivering creative activations for Laurent-Perrier, Mulberry and HTC. In 2015 Tess project managed the Saturday night Spectacle by La Fura Del Baus which included 50 synchronised volunteers suspended from a crane and a 30ft kinetic puppet.
A brief sojourn into the freelance world working for leading creative production agencies in London preceded setting up studioTAC in 2016.
